Valentine Ebner

Valentine Ebner has been a teacher at the HEAD – Genève since 2002, previously working for several years with the Paris trend agency Trend Union / Studio Edelkoort. In addition to her experience as a trend analyst – which led her to teach at the HEAD – Genève and at the HES-SO Masters Innokick – Integrated Innovation for Product and Business development – Ebner specialised in knitwear, which she teaches in the Fashion Design Department. Since September 2018, she has been conducting the research project RA&D TheKnitGeekResearch with Fabien Degoumois (engineer, HES-SO) and Nina Gander (designer, HEAD – Genève). At the border between fashion and engineering, this project questions both the process of knitting and its production machines as ways of exploring alternative approaches for fashion designers.
