Nessim Kaufmann

Nessim Kaufmann′s practice organised itself in the gap between the terms Space, Image and Literature. Space and Image were early disciplines that he studied within the framework of a Master′s degree in architecture at the EPFL. Conducted under the aegis of Kersten Geers and Luca Pattaroni, his thesis at the EPFL was an opportunity to combine narrative and spatialisation through a project of architectural form. A second Master's degree undertaken at the HEAD – Genève clarified his practice’s forms and means of expression. Writing, drawing, installation and performance are combined around recurring themes such as the celebration of spleen, the ideal, and suspended time.
