Mirjana Farkas

After a Master's degree in History at the University of Geneva (2004), Mirjana Farkas studied illustration at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, where she lived between 2004 and 2010. Back in Geneva, she works as a freelance illustrator and is involved in academic research, teaching and heritage conservation. Passionate about images but also about transmission, she taught illustration at the HEAD – Genève between 2013 and 2017, then at the ESBDi (2018-2020) and through mandates in cultural mediation. Since 2020, she is a scientific assistant at the Geneva Library, in charge of the Poster Collection. Mirjana Farkas illustrates press articles, posters and works on personal projects: notebooks, children's books, silk-screen prints, group exhibitions, mapping and animated projects.
