Massimo De Angelis

Massimo De Angelis is Emeritus Professor of Political Economy and Social Change at the University of East London. For over three decades, he has been researching, writing and teaching on issues around the commons, social conflict, and contemporary capitalism and its many crises. He is the founder of the web journal The Commoner and from 2019 to 2021 was a member of the Commons Observatory of the city municipality of Naples. He is editor of the book series In Common for Bloomsbury and is the author of The Beginning of History: Value Struggles and Global Capital (Pluto, 2007); Omnia Sunt Communia: On the Commons and Post-Capitalist Transformation (Zed, 2017); and The Pyramid and the Common (Bloomsbury, forthcoming).
