Marie Losier

Marie Losier (born in France, 1972) studied Literature at Nanterre University (M.Phil in American Literature and Poetry) and Fine Arts in New York (MFA/Hunter College) before creating numerous avant-garde, intimate and playful portraits of movie-makers, musicians and composers such as Alan Vega, the Kuchar brothers, Guy Maddin, Richard Foreman, Tony Conrad and Jackie Raynal. Losier’s films are often presented at prestigious movie festivals (Cannes, Berlin, Rotterdam, IDFA, Tribeca / New York, CPH:DOX, Bafici / Argentina, Cinéma du Réel, Torino, etc.) as well as in museums such as the Tate Modern (London), the MoMA (NYC), the Centre Pompidou (Paris), the Cinémathèque Française (Paris) and the Whitney Museum (NYC).
