Laura Couto Rosado

A product designer specialised in media and interaction design. Couto Rosado’s design practice is characterized by a constant search for symbiosis between design, science and technologies. Inspired by pure and applied physics, Seng creates hybrid devices which reveal beauty and poetry where they are least expected. A Collide Pro Helvetia’s laureate, Couto Rosado conducted an Art and Science research project at the CERN in 2017. She often collaborates with stage directors, creating interactive experiences and installations. Notably, she conceived the design for the AELI project in partnership with the CEA-LIST in Saclay, staging an interactive installation in which artificial intelligence is incorporated within a domestic lamp and programmed to react like an animal.
