Jean-François Staszak
Jean-François Staszak is a professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Geneva. His recent publications focus on the question of otherness, exoticism in particular, which he examines in the light of gender and postcolonial studies, particularly in the fields of tourism and visual culture. From this perspective, he worked on painting, photography, dance and cinema, but also on borders and orientalist architectural dispositives.
