Eva Zornio

Eva Zornio was born in the late 1980s in Switzerland. Having first studied biology before graduating with a Master’s in neuroscience in 2011, she directed her research towards art – firstly cinema, then contemporary art, following the HEAD—Genève’s Work.Master. In 2018, Zornio created a mobile and sprawling laboratory called “Affective Evaluation,” where protocols and units around performances and installations continue to be invented, inspired by research in neuroscience, psychology, and the humanities. Stemming from this are pieces including Étude sur l’empathie n°1 & n°2, where the spectator becomes a case study, and Affective Evaluation in Exhibition Context, which turns an art space into a laboratory for Affective Sciences.
