Cyrus Khalatbari

Cyrus Khalatbari is currently completing a PhD jointly conducted by the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD – Genève, HES-SO) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). In the fall of 2026, he will join the design department at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS Montréal) as a full-time professor. His research combines ethnographic fieldwork and science and technology studies (STS) with problematic methodologies from art and design to examine the environmental implications of computing power and digital technologies.
