Caroline Bernard

A regular collaborator with the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design (HEAD), Caroline Bernard is a professor at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP) in Arles, where she manages the Prospectives de l’Image laboratory. An associate professor at the Ecole des Arts Visuels et Médiatiques (EAVM) within the Québec University in Montreal (UQAM, CA), Bernard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, a Master’s in New Media and a PhD from the Paris 8 University in Aesthetics, Sciences and Art Technologies, with a specialisation in Plastic Arts and Photography. For three years, Bernard collaborated with the Geneva-based Think Tank Theatre company. An author for the radio show LE LABO on the Swiss radio Espace 2 (RTS), Bernard manages the Chemins de Traverse laboratory which, through its interdisciplinarity, casts a new light on the world and society’s contemporary concerns. www.cheminsdetraverse.net
