Bahar Noorizadeh

Bahar Noorizadeh (b.1988, Iran) is a London-based writer, filmmaker and artist working across video, performance and installation. In 2018, she produced After Scarcity, a sci-fi essay film that tracks Soviet cyberneticians (1950s – 1980s) in their attempt to build a fully-automated planned economy. Noorizadeh is a founding member of BLOCC (Building Leverage over Creative Capitalism), a research and education platform that seeks to alter the relationship between contemporary art and gentrification.
