Energy, Climate, Environment, Architecture laboratory

The Energy, Climate, Environment, Architecture laboratory brings together the group's skills in measurement and simulation in the areas of heating buildings, technical installations and urban climate and microclimate.

The laboratory services including the following:

  • measurement of urban microclimate with the Microclimatemeter
  • climatic measurements (mobile stations plus 3 fixed, for which the data are in open data)
  • macro (building) and micro (elements) energy simulation
  • technical expert appraisals of buildings
  • measurement of U values in-situ
Équipement(s):
  • Microclimatemeter (appliance for measurement of urban microclimate developed by the group, see the CityFeel project)
  • Mobile meteorological stations
  • Data acquirers (HOBO, Campbell, Rotronics) with probes for temperature, humidity, air quality, etc.
  • Balloon probe for measurement at altitude
  • Tools for solar readings (SolarPathfinder, Horicatcher, tools for manual readings)
  • Energy simulation software (EnerCAD, IdaICE, HEAT, etc.)
  • FLIR infrared camera
  • Ultrasound flowmeter
