Entomology and Agroecology group

The Entomology and Agroecology group has the function of developing applied research projects at the horticultural and urban level.

Its mission is to answer questions from the agricultural sector in terms of tools to help with decision-making, controlling crops and protecting plants in a context of sustainable development. It focuses its research activities on the following themes:

  • entomological biodiversity in horticulture and in urban environments
  • biological control of pests with the aid of auxiliaries
  • relations between plants and insects
  • urban agriculture and green infrastructure
  • sustainable horticultural production systems

These research themes can respond to several societal, environmental and economic challenges and involve collaboration with private companies, municipalities, towns and cantons.
