Specialised choral conducting

The specialised choral conducting course is designed for a small number of students who intended to conduct professional ensembles, whether permanent (opera and radio choirs, specialised ensembles) or ad hoc.

Singing and keyboard instrument skills (instrumental or vocal know-how, stylistic skills and artistic sensibility), a wide-ranging artistic culture (including in the choral and orchestral repertoires) and score-reading skills are required. Psychological skills and a degree of personal authority are also essential in order to conduct an ensemble, as well as administrative skills, particularly when organising and managing rehearsals.
