The mediaeval music course is open to students who display a proven ability to study the mediaeval repertoire, in terms of both philological research and artistic design.
The public’s enthusiasm for early music has greatly increased in recent years. The popularity of Baroque music is now accompanied by a growing interest in mediaeval music. There is greater knowledge of this repertoire and how to approach it, as well as a broad network of specialised performers.
By its very nature, mediaeval music requires highly specialised musical and technical skills. Cultural, technical and theoretical knowledge is developed during the course.
