The composition course trains students for careers as composers of written works, using the most varied forms and performers, including instrumental ensembles, orchestral ensembles and voice.
The course focuses on composition as a main activity, with composition classes, individual monitoring of composed work, teaching in direct contact with the writing or design of acoustic or electroacoustic works. Two specific modules that enable students to perfect their practical skills and general music training are devoted to instrumental practice and score-reading at the piano, basic orchestral conducting and basic percussion.
