The Master of Arts in Composition and Music Theory course trains students for professional careers based on creativity as a composer and/or teaching or research in the field of music theory. This highly demanding course is designed for a small number of students who display the creative and/or research skills needed in order to work in either of these fields.
The composition and theory course has constant links with the performance courses – the works written by the students are intended to be performed by students of the school’s instrumental and vocal disciplines. This enables composition students to try out their creations in public performances.
