Music and movement department
The Music and Movement Department provides courses using the method developed by the Geneva musician and educator Emile Jaques-Dalcroze, which is taught in most European countries, America, Asia and Australia. The course is based on eurhythmics, a discipline that combines natural body movements, musical rhythms and imaginative and reflective abilities. Another part of this innovative multidisciplinary course is improvisation, elements of which can be found in contemporary dance, theatre and various branches of therapy and education science.
The main disciplines are eurhythmics, solfège, instrumental improvisation, instrumental improvisation for movement and teaching, piano, methodology and practical teaching. The compulsory course also includes two workshops, one on pedagogical application and another on creative experimentation.
