You have made up your mind and you have gathered all the necessary information on the universities that are of interest to you.
Here are the six steps you have to follow in order to apply:
You must have successfully completed two semesters of study at the HEG (60 ECTS)
If you are attending the IBM program, the EE full-time program or the "Banque et Finance" orientation, make sure to read the special requirements applying to you.
If you are attending the Business Information Systems program, you are allowed to go on a one-semester exchange at a partner university offering courses in the Business Administration area. If you wish to leave for a full academic year, you will have to choose a university with which the HEG has an agreement specifically in your field of study.
Applications can only be submitted during the application period of the semester right before your exchange. We do not reserve spots in advance, it is thus useless to send your application materials before the official period.
For the Fall semester 2021 or the full academic year 2021/22, the application period runs from February 1st to March 15th, 2021. A first round of replies is given to the candidates who have applied within this timeframe. Then, applications are processed on a first-come first-served basis until April 1st, 2021.
Be aware that application deadlines vary from one university to the other : we suggest that you check this information in advance and meet the specific deadlines.
Some universities may also require that you take a language test. Should it be the case, make sure to obtain the required certificates in advance.
Only complete applications will be considered. The required materials are as follows:
A cover letter (max. 1 page) adressed to the HEG, written in French or English. We ask that you write one letter per destination. This will help us make a better selection between candidates and evaluate your motivation.
Your last official transcript of records or your last grade report from AGE/IS-Academia if your applying for the Spring semester
A curriculum vitae, written in French or in English
Our Mobility Charter duly filled in and signed
A selection takes place if the number of applicants is greater than the number of available spots at the host university. Do not contact or apply directly to any partner university before you have officially been selected by the HEG.
Once the spots have been assigned, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions in order to complete your application.
If you are accepted by the HEG for one of the universities you have chosen, we will send an official nomination to the partner university which will then provide you directly with additional information on the materials that they may require to confirm your admission. For all details regarding accommodation, visa issues, offer of courses, please contact directly your host university.
