The Institute of Applied Research in Economics and Management (IREG Institut de Recherche appliquée en Economie et Gestion) is a joint initiative of HEG-Geneva and Geneva University. It was created in February 2017.
The institute offers a unique expertise, in particular thanks to the complementary skills it provides.
The IREG was publicly formalised on Tuesday 21 February 2017 with the signing of an agreement between Geneva University (UNIGE) and Geneva University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO Genève). Its various missions include combining research professors’ skills from both institutions so as to propose optimal responses to requests for applied research and services. Pooling resources from both institutions gives thus access to a wider range of researchers with complementary and multidisciplinary skills. The reputation of both partners also guarantees quality studies based on solid scientific foundations.
Any web project requires an effective communication strategy, clear information architecture, a unique user interface and server technologies that perfectly match customer needs. With more than two decades of experience in website design and user advice, the LTI has been offering its expertise and services to numerous Geneva-based actors since 1996.
ArchiLab is the first archival science laboratory in French-speaking Switzerland. It is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for data storage and processing so as to carry out services and research projects. It will also boost classes in our Information Studies department.
The “L’Observatoire du commerce” is a research and analysis tool that brings together and provides access to socio-economic and location data, in the form of maps. This platform facilitates the establishment and development of new businesses in the canton of Geneva.
