The course structure was completely overhauled in 2011 in response to developments within the profession. We now offer students the option of customising their studies from the fourth semester. We are offering several new subjects that meet the current needs of governments and businesses.
The first three semesters follow a core syllabus covering five key areas:
Working environment : workplace culture, professional codes of ethics, law, optional modules
Information studies concepts and techniques : introduction to library science, archives administration and information management
Service and communication : service relationships, marketing, oral, written and online communication, communication technologies
Students complete a project on behalf of an institution during semesters 3 and 4
Semesters 4 to 6 cover job-related knowledge in greater depth. Students can obtain 57 ECTS credits from the various specialist modules on offer:
Information management : business intelligence, knowledge management, EDM, etc.
