Next steps

To study at HEdS Geneva as an international student, you need to follow the procedure below. You will be able to study abroad during the second or third year of your Bachelor’s degree, provided you have completed all semesters prior to your departure.

Please send to our International Relations Office your duly completed and signed application form as well as its supporting documents by the following dates:

  • March 31 for the fall semester (weeks 38 to 7)
  • June 30 for the spring semester (weeks 8 to 37).

Manage the administrative aspects of your exchange with our International Relations Office so that all the application documentation and administrative formalities (contracts, grants, immigration, insurance, flights, accommodation, etc.) are finalised on time.

Register on our application Moveon (please contact our International Relations Office to obtain the relevant link).

Documents to provide
  • The application form, duly completed and signed by the international coordinator of your institution. Please note the contact details of your coordinators so that we can contact them subsequently
  • A photocopy of your passport (students who do not have a passport when they apply can send a photocopy of another form of ID that shows their citizenship)
  • Your most recent official university academic transcript and the number of semesters completed during your undergraduate course
  • For SEMP (Erasmus+) mobility : the proposed learning agreement or training agreement.

    For international mobility (outside Europe) : the proposed learning agreement or training agreement.
    Synopsis of our courses are available on request.

  • A cover letter in French (indicating two or three choices of sector for your traineeship)
  • Your CV (in French)
  • A certificate confirming your level of French (minimum requirement B2)
  • A photocopy of your immunisation record (required by internship providers)
  • A doctor’s certificate or statement, proving that you have had a medical check-up and are fit to work in the care services planned
  • A high-resolution copy of your photo ID
  • A copy of your Public Liability, Health, Accident and Repatriation insurance and the signedStudent Insurance Declaration
     
  • At the end of your stay and before you leave Geneva:

    - For SEMP (Erasmus+) mobility : the Final report - Student Mobility for Studiesor the  Final Report -Student Mobility for Traineeships and the confirmation of your stay provided by your establishment

    - For international mobility (outside Europe) : the Final report - Student Mobility for Studiesor Final Report -Student Mobility for Traineeships and the confirmation of your stay provided by your establishment

All applications will be examined by the International Relations Office and the representatives for the relevant departments. We will advise applicants if they have been accepted for a traineeship or to study at HEdS Geneva approximately one month after the closing date for applications.
