90 du Théâtre des marionnettes de Genève

October 2019 to June 2020

90 ans du théâtre des marionnettes de Genève
Shop window n°1 to n°3

Teacher: Clement Paurd
Assistants: Valérie Pierrehumbert
Students: Annie Odile Marca, Evdokia Bobrova, Théo Bosson, Florent Bovier, Jason Cavin, Quentin Coet, Valentine Martin, Théo Remlinger, Georges Rosniansky, Estelle Rosset

Ten students were invited to take over the legacy of Geneva's puppet theatre and deliver their vision of it in shop windows around the city.

Going backwards through the 90 years of TMG's history, each window is very freely inspired by a decade of TMG and its singularities. The young artists take a fresh outside look and bring their contemporary and subjective touch to the window.

Each month, a new shop window is inaugurated in a partner venue in Geneva during a festive and convivial event until June 2020.

Showcase N°1,
Location: Manor Rive Droite store, corner of Coutance and Grénus
This showcase was designed by Valentine Martin and Florent Bovier.
This project looks at the decade from 2020-2010 by exploring the theme "The future at your fingertips: the puppet today and tomorrow".

Showcase N°2
Location: Bibliothèque des Minoteries, Parc des Minoteries 5, 1205 Geneva
This showcase was designed by Georges Rosniansky based on an idea by Theo Remlinger.
This second inauguration looks back on the decade of 2010-2000 by exploring the theme "Making puppets of everything".

Showcase N°3
Location: Magasin Très Classic, Rue du Diorama 16, 1204 Genève
This showcase was designed by Jason Cavin.
This third showcase opening will look back on the decade of 2000-1990 by exploring the theme "We see you...we hear you".
